Final conference
of ClusteRISE
The final conference of ClusteRISE’s project presents results of the development EAM clusters (Engineering – Automation – Machinery) in regions of Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia. The ClusteRISE project was implemented by the Association of Industrial Automation Enterprises of Ukraine with the support of GIZ-Ukraine. One of the key results of the project is the rising of similar clusters activities in other regions of the country, and they will also be presented at the conference. The main objectives of the conference are to summarize the project results and disseminate best practices in cluster development.

Clusters – as drivers
The impact of IAM clusters on regional GDP growth is still negligible. Then why do we say that «clusters are drivers of development»?

About the ClusteRISE project

The Association of Industrial Automation Enterprises (APPAU) is a cluster organization that has been actively developing cluster cooperation in the field of Industry 4.0 since 2016, and in 2019 proposed a single concept for industrial engineering clusters – IAM. In the same year, the concept was supported by the Ministry of Economy and a number of regional authorities. During 2019, APPAU actively promoted the concept in several regions – Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Odessa, Lviv, Kyiv. The regional communities of industrial high-tech companies of Zaporizhia and Kharkiv proved to be the most active.

In 2020, the project for the development of 2 IAM pilot clusters was supported by the German Society for International Cooperation Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

The project for the development of IAM clusters in the regions of Kharkiv and Zaporizhia “ClusteRISE” is implemented by the Association of Industrial Automation Enterprises of Ukraine (APPAU) within the program «Utilization and Implementation of the Association Agreement between the EU and Ukraine in the field of trade / EU4Business: SME Competitiveness and Internationalisation»

co-financed by the European Union and the Government of Germany through the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
