APPAU expands cooperation with Czech partners based on the results of the business mission to Prague

APPAU as part of the delegation of the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance took part in a two-day business mission to Prague, which included a conference Building Bridges 2.0 September 10 and a workshop for the development of international cooperation of clusters on September 11.

One of the main results of the mission was Over 15 new business contacts, first of all in the fields of industrial High-Tech and Dual-Use – electronics, automation, energy and defense technologies. The next day after the meetings, the Ukrainian side receivedsuggestions for potential cooperation.

Participants also discussed a new format of partnership in the field dual-use/defense With the Czech-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, they outlined areas for cooperation with the Ukrainian business team in Brno and held meetings with two Czech EDIH. The next step should be new memoranda and specification of common areas of work.

A separate result of the mission was the consolidation of Ukrainian clusters and a revision of approaches to international cooperation. UCA moves to a model of small teams formed around specific cases and projects with clear short-term results.

INFOCOM LTD has modernized the control system for the food company 

INFOCOM LTD has completed a project to modernize the system of inspection of packaging materials at one of Ukraine’s food enterprises. The team updated the ACS of packaging lines, tested PLC signals and adjusted the algorithms according to the actual operating conditions of the equipment.

An operator panel was set up within the project TP1200 Comfort, as well as Sick and Cognex scanners for automatic reading of barcodes on boxes and laminate. An important part of modernization was the integration of the updated ACS with the system Digital Manufacturing Operation Enterprises that provide the exchange of production data and control of processes in real time.

After technical changes, Infocom Ltd also trained the company’s staff to work with updated equipment and algorithms. The case demonstrates a comprehensive approach to modernization – from the level of equipment and PLC to the integration of data with the digital production system of the enterprise.

AIM has joined the development of the Ukrainian-Korean economic dialogue 

AIM became part of the Ukrainian delegation at the first Forum on Reconstruction of Ukraine and Korean-Ukrainian Economic Development in Seoul. The event focuses on finding practical areas of cooperation between Ukraine and South Korea in reconstruction, infrastructure, industry, investment, digitalization and Smart City.

The company introduced the company at the forum Yuriy Bohu-Shchyrin, who joined the economic program and presented a vision of the use of digitalization and Smart City technologies in the postwar reconstruction of Ukraine.

AIM’s participation in the forum opens a new platform for the presentation of Ukrainian technological expertise and establishing contacts with Korean partners around future projects of restoration and digital modernization.


IT-Enterprise has joined the European WASABI and implements AI-assistant in GiPanis 

IT-Enterprise became a participant in the European project WASABI, where together with the manufacturer of footwear Gipanis, the Sustainable Development Agency ASTAR and EDIH Clotex-Hub is working on the practical application of AI directly in the production process. The project is implemented within the EU program Horizon Europe and the circ-shoe experiment.

Gipanis is implementing on the production line AI-WVMA – digital assistant for monitoring the production of EVA-components. The system receives data directly from the technological process, controls production parameters, detects deviations and notifies responsible employees. In the first stage, the AI controls the cooking time andInjection, further functionality is planned to be expanded to identify patterns and predict potential problems.

The expected result of the project is Reduction of EVA-waste and defects by 8-10%, energy consumption per unit of output by 3% and production costs by 5-8%. Automatic notifications should cover up to 95% of cases of deviations.

At the same time, the AI does not receive autonomous control over the equipment: its role is to identify problems faster and provide information to specialists for decision-making. For IT-Enterprise, the project is also an opportunity to test and develop industrial AI-technologies on real production data and further scale the approach to other enterprises in the industry.
